March 2018 Message

Man, I can’t believe it is March already and we still have this much snow with no relief in sight. The days are getting longer and Mr Sun is showing his strength so time will tell. We saw bikes out down in Washington last weekend. I hope your bike is ready to go and you have taken the neces-sary steps to make sure your body is in it’s best shape for riding. There will be a good number of events and rides to go on this season so be ready to have some fun.
We have a contract for the new Victoria Days venue so now we just need to finish our planning and there have been registrations coming in so here we go again. I sure hope you will be able to join us this year for the fun and meeting of new friends.
Kathy & I were to a pot luck of WA-H ‘s and as usual we had great food and a good time see-ing all our friend from that chapter. The chapter lost one of their members to cancer this week and Dick will be missed as he was a motorcycle mech. all his working life.
Kevin Bramhoff our District Director has made and announcement about a bonus for all the new riders you sign up between now and June. I have included Kevin’s letter in this newsletter.
Our chapter’s snow birds should start arriving home by the first to middle of next month and they will be wanting to get their bikes out and ride. BC-G had a rough season last year with all the smoke from the forest fires so I sure wish for a good BC summer and your company on some rides.
Dean has been busy working on our chapter Face Book page or what ever they call it. It has a lot of info so sign in and stay in touch with BC-G. We still have our web page and I have contact-ed a new web master recommended by Bill Haggerty who can no longer do this job for us. Bill has been our chapter and many other’s web master for 10 years or more and I would like to thank him for his great service to us all. Thank you very much Bill. Bill is like all the rest of us getting older but he will still be out riding so watch for him when you are out riding.. He is moving to a place with poor internet service.
There are a couple of really nice GL1500‘s for sale in the Sumas – Bellingham chapter so if you are interested contact me and I will get you all the info you require.
